Baltimore needs its own transit district with its own tax, like Tri-Met in Oregon. Annapolis and the MTA will never serve the interests of Baltimoreans.

If more Americans visited Europe to see what real cities are like, I don't think we'd be in this mess. If more Americans felt the joy of quiet public squares free of car exhaust and engine noise, clean and punctual rapid transit, and cities designed at human scale, maybe we'd finally realize the street is not only a way to get from place to place, but also a place in and of itself.
Free street parking is theft. It is the reappropriation of public space for the storage of private property.
Owning a car in a rowhouse neighborhood is like opening an umbrella at a crowded house party. Many folks own a car because they've been given no other option to get around, but if you own one by choice, you're making the city a worse place for everyone else.
The idiocy of making the dense pre-war cities of Baltimore and Philadelphia car-dependent is palpable, but the lunacy of the people who live here that actually want to continue living this way is despicable.
